Yemen

An introduction to the region’s situation, crises and severe need:

Yemen faces an ongoing health and humanitarian crisis left by years of conflict, displacement, and worsening living conditions. With health facilities damaged and shortages of medicines, equipment, and staff, many families find it difficult to access treatment, especially in remote and conflict-affected areas. This reality is further worsened by the spread of malnutrition and infectious diseases and by weak water and sanitation services, increasing the risks for children, pregnant women, and patients who need ongoing care.

Medics works to support people in need in Yemen by combating malnutrition among children, supporting hospitals with medical consumables, providing ventilators and incubators for children, and delivering care through mobile clinics; to help save lives, ease families' suffering, and strengthen the continuity of essential health services.
